Drs. Nathan Blitz and Joe
Bulger lead this capable team of some 20 strong, and their years in the industry
provided the wisdom and vision needed to orchestrate this west-end venture. Having
met several times at seminars and lectures, the two established a mutual respect
arising from their shared passion for esthetic dentistry. Each member brought
his unique approach and experience to the forefront, and we welcome the opportunity
to learn a little more of the events that would ultimately lead to this success
story.

Dr. Nathan Blitz is married to Eva, his beautiful high school sweetheart. They are very proud of their three daughters, whose diligence and success they find inspirational. Recently, Dr. Blitz was awarded Accreditation status by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and he continues to write and lecture to his peers. Dr. Blitz practised for 25 years at his former Etobicoke location. The doctors met through their membership in the Toronto Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, of which Dr. Blitz is president. After several post-lecture discussions, they realized that they each wanted to expand their facilities. Dr.
Joe Bulger is a proud Etobicoke native, who for many years has offered
west-enders care just across the street from the new location. "Dr.
Joe," as he is affably referred to, would never stray far from the
loyal patient base he had tended for so long. Along with his lovely
wife Denise, they are raising five fine children. Dr. Bulger is quite
proud to raise his children in the same region in which he grew up. |
What we see today is the result of two respected professionals who sought to provide an exceptional environment for providing excellence in family and cosmetic dentistry. Many are to be thanked for the locating, planning, and developing of this wonderful finished project, and it's easy to see that each contributing part brings the utmost expertise. Patterson Dental, Tri Par Improvements, Joseph Designs, and Transitions top a long list of organizations who offered insight, effort, and passion toward this masterpiece. A quick tour of the facility offers assurance that those responsible for this metamorphosis from a water-damaged, run-down, aging structure have achieved remarkable success. |
Enter to find an open waiting area and welcome station that gives patients an immediate feeling that they are surrounded with the comforts of home. Veer to the right and sit in the luxurious waiting area equipped with a cozy yet stately fireplace, and imported Italian café tables, and understand why patients feel comfortable and relaxed. A wonderful video presentation customized by Dental Marketing Inc. plays on the screen over the hearth, giving patients a clear understanding of available treatment options. Marble countertops, custom wrought iron fixtures, and ceramic tiles throughout enhance the luxurious surroundings. You can see the second floor above, as this open-concept expanse reveals the overhead atrium. Prime streetfront space was sacrificed to provide this dramatic and stylish layout. Everyone agrees that the visual impact of the atrium is spectacular. Upstairs you'll find a spacious children's playroom, along with an identical operatory layout seen on the ground floor. Drs. Bulger and Blitz actually rotate their days from floor to floor, offering the patients a variety of settings, and accommodating the elderly and handicapped more suited to the ground floor. |

Pictured on the left is the state-of-the-art "Triangle Steri-Centre," that provides exceptionally organized and effective sterilization. This important part of the facility clearly speaks volumes to patients, stating, "We are clean and safe." Notice the computer screen patients find at each and every chair. The doctors wanted to establish "a computer-friendly interactive environment providing powerful digital tools," as well as projecting a modern, high-tech image. Dr. Bulger developed an in-house patient education program to provide patients an informative introduction to their clinical care. Each chair has a fully functional intraoral camera linked digitally to the chair-side computer. The moment patients can see the inside of their mouth on the monitor in front of them, they can understand their specific dental needs and options. The facility was designed to be practical and functional while maintaining a modern, comfortable style, providing an increasing patient base with a high standard of care. As seen on their appointment cards, at Royal York Dental they are "Dedicated to Excellence," striving to provide the highest calibre of dental care available. We think they are doing a pretty good job. |
