The role of technology
An important aspect of Royal York Dental is our utilization of advanced technology.
The changes that have occurred in dentistry are amazing. As with most professions, the pace of change has accelerated phenomenally over the past few years. The landscape of dental offices has become increasingly divided between the technological "haves" and the "have-nots". We often hear patients comment, "This is amazing - my old dentist never had anything like this!" At Royal York Dental, we strive to find and use technologies that will help us provide significant improvements in the quality of our patient care and patients appreciate us for it.
Business Office Technology
We consider our greatest resource to be our team of people and office technology provides our team with powerful tools that increase their productivity. Managing appointments, chart records, insurance and billing all takes up very valuable time. We use computer tools for every aspect of our business that we can. By utilizing computers to increase our efficiency and effectiveness, we can free up our time to better serve our patients which is what we truly enjoy doing.
Computerized ID
With our digital handheld cameras we can maintain photographic records for your computerized file. For children we have the potential to use their photos in conjunction with child-find services.
Digital Imaging
A picture paints a thousand words! Ever wonder what you would look like with your perfect smile? Computer imaging can now show you changes in your smile before any work is ever done.
DVD Multimedia Education:
(Caesy) CD programs give you informative and motivational dental topics. Our reception monitor plays the "Smile Channel" showing you how to make the most of your smile. Each treatment room computer is loaded with patient education programs on every treatment topic. We want you to be the most informed and motivated patients around.
Computerized Prescriptions:
Prescriptions are generated by our software which ensures accuracy and allows us to manage the myriad of choices and drug conflicts. The pharmacy appreciates the computer printed prescription, rather than trying to read our handwriting.
